What can you do to buoy your spirits in a short amount of time? Here are 5 simple acts for you to do now, in this moment, with presence:

  • Smile

  • Take 5 deep breaths in and 5 deep breaths out

  • Tell yourself 7 times "I am happy" (in your mind and out loud)

  • Sit outside and let the sun warm your face

  • Stretch your body - flex your feet and wrists, twist your spine, look up down and all around

Don't you feel a little better than before? This is the practice of mindfulness.
