Mindful eating

Take the time to really taste and savor your food! Slowly eat three or four foods with different tastes and textures (like nuts, noodles, a piece of lettuce and a spoonful of yogurt). Close your eyes if you like. Can you discriminate the texture as well as the taste of each? Can you separate the smell from the taste? Or do you have a unified experience of all at the same time -- taste, smell and texture?
