Meditation in motion

To open yourself up for the day, try a stretch called "apple picking."
With legs hip-width apart, reach arms straight up.
Then, bending the left knee slightly and hiking up the left hip, stretch your right arm as if reaching for a "just out of tough" apple.
Perform the same motion with your right leg and left arm.
Repeat these movements three times on each side.
You can also keep those arms stretched high and gently twist side to side - keeping the core of your body straight.
It's good to stretch throughout the day, and it's actually a mindful, moving meditation since you are bringing your attention to a specific action.
