When you finally make the decision to change it can be exciting, exhilarating but also stress and tension filled.
The stressful parts will be resisting temptations of the past. It’s harder yet when the people you used to spend time with are the pullers. Another stressful part of change is second-guessing yourself. You will be scared. Sometimes this will make you tired and crabby and anxious and feeling guilty. This is fear talking. You should know that this is all normal.
Change is constant but changing something means there will be ripples and waves along the way. Know this and be ok with the down days. If you remain steadfast to your goals and aspirations, you will be victorious and successful. Replace the voice of fear with the voice of your truth. Know the difference.
Being mindful and practicing mindfulness meditation will help you deal with the fear and uncertainty and help you know the difference. As you breath in and out tonight - focusing on your breath as you inhale and exhale - repeat in your mind:
I rise up
I resist temptation
I am calm
I live my truth
I live in trust
I feel victorious
